【Participants wanted】MIYAGI Career Guidance for Children & Parents who are Non-native Japanese Speakers (日本語を母語としない子どもと親のための進路ガイダンス宮城2023)
Even if you don’t understand Japanese, you can still consult about Career
Guidance in Japan and other topics.
“What are high schools like in Japan?” “What do I need to do to enroll?”
“What kinds of high schools are there?” “How much money will it cost?”
＊Studying during 1st and 2nd year in junior high school is important for
high school entrance exams.
Elementary schoolers and their families are also welcome to join.
＊Start gathering information early!
Time & Date: July 29, 2023 (Sat.) 1:30p.m. – 3:30p.m.
Location: Can participate at a venue or online
■ Participation Method Please choose from the following 2 options
１．Sendai Multicultural Center (Venue)
Participants can gather and listen to the discussion in person.
Interpretation support in English, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, Spanish, Nepali, and other languages.
２．Online (Zoom)
Participate with a computer or tablet. *Broadcast in Japanese, English, and Chinese.
■ Outline
Target Group: Elementary students (5th and 6th grade), junior high students, their parents, and study assistants
Participation Fee: Free
Interpretation: Interpretation support available.

Content: Information regarding enrolling in Miyagi Prefecture high schools, experiences and stories from graduates and parents, questions to junior-high and high school teachers, information exchange among participants.
