National Pension Handbooks to change to National Pension Number Notification Cards from April 1, 2022 (Reiwa 4)(年金手帳が廃止され「基礎年金番号通知書」に変わります)

From April 1, 2022 the National Pension system will issue the Notice of Basic Pension Number to those who have recently turned 20 years old, and those who are newly enrolled into the National Pension system.

The Notice of Basic Pension Number is a card which proves that you are enrolled in the National Pension, in place of the Pension Handbook.
The Basic Pension Number is required when doing procedures related to pension, and for work etc.
