Request to shorten business hours based on the Act on Special Measures for Pandemic Influenza and New Infectious Diseases Preparedness and Response Article 24 Item 9
1. Request Period
From August 17, 2021 (Tue.) 8:00p.m. to August 20, 2021 (Fri.) 0:00a.m.
※ The 10th request period started from August 20, 2021 (Fri.) 0:00 a.m.
2. Target Facilities
Facilities in Sendai which fulfill ① or ②
① Entertainment establishments which serve food and alcohol
※1 Establishments which have received an operating permit under the Food Sanitation Act, and others outlined under Article 2, Section 1, Item 1 of the Businesses Affecting Public Morals Regulation Act.
② Dine-in restaurants which serve alcohol
※Facilities which have received an operating permit under the Food Sanitation Act.
【Exception】Establishments certified by the “Miyagi Restaurant COVID-19 Prevention Measure Certification System” do not need to shorten their business hours. If certified establishments do shorten their business hours, they are eligible to receive Cooperation Money.

4. Request Contents
①Shorten business hours to the period from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
②Only allow alcohol from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
※This includes alcoholic beverages customers bring in.
5. Cooperation Money
The City of Sendai will pay Cooperation Money to businesses which cooperate in shortening their business hours.
Please check the City of Sendai website for how to apply for Cooperation Money and other details.
