Be careful of heavy rain and typhoons (Important things for protecting yourself) 大雨や台風に気をつけましょう

During torrential rain, hills and cliffs can crumble, and river water levels rise and overflow
which can cause lots of damage. To protect yourself, it’s important to be prepared and
understand how to take appropriate actions during a disaster.

【Seasons Which Require Caution】
Early summer (June-July) The rainy season. Frequent rainfall is to be expected.
Summer (July-August) Sudden downpours and thunder storms.
Autumn (September-November) Typhoons may approach or reach land and cause heavy rain.

Japan Meteorological Agency Disaster Information (Multilingual)
The Japan Meteorological Agency distributes ‘KIKIKURU alerts (for heavy rain and flooding)’. You can view these alerts in 14 languages in addition to Japanese.
