This support fund will be made available to aid the continuation of small and medium-sized businesses, including freelance workers and sole proprietors, who have been largely affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
*Businesses who will or have received money from the “Sendai City Cooperation Fund” are not eligible for this scheme.

【Support Fund Amount】

200,000 yen per business

【Eligible Businesses】

Only businesses that meet all three requirements listed below are eligible to receive the support fund. There also may be cases which are deemed ineligible.

① Are a business, excluding large businesses and corporations, with a headquarter, main office, or principle office located within Sendai City.(*1)
② Have been conducting business prior to March 2020, and intend to continue conducting the business hereafter.
③ Your business’s revenue has been reduced by more than 50 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, between February to June due to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.(*2)

(*1) Entities such as medical corporations, agricultural corporations, and NPO’s that operate outside standard business format are included. If an individual is registered on a resident register within Sendai City or their place of tax payment is within Sendai City, and your business income is declared, or are earning an income from the business but it is declared as salary or other income, they are eligible for this scheme. Temporary workers, contractors, and part-time employees etc, even if their incomes are delared, are not eligible.
(*2) Businesses that meet the requirements and opened or established after January 2019, or for businesses which expanded store locations, may be subject to an exception for eligibility.

【How to Apply】

Applications must be posted with the required documents.
The mailing label, required application, and pledge form can be downloaded from the official Sendai City website.

【Application Period】

1. Those who were eligible before the eligibility expansion (Those who’s main source of income is from the business)

May 13 (Wed.), 2020 to July 15 (Wed.) 31, (Fri..) 2020 (Applications postmarked with the deadline date will be accepted)
*The deadline has also been extended to July 31st for those who’s main income is from their business.

2. Those who are eligible after the eligibility expansion (Those who declare their income from the business, or income from other sources, sole proprietors such as freelancers etc. )

July 1, (Wed.) 2020 to July 31, (Fri.) 2020 (Applications postmarked with the deadline date will be accepted)
