How will your child spend her time after school and on days off? One option is a children’s club at a children’s center.

What is a Children’s Center?

Children can interact with other children and adults of all ages. Children’s centers are places open to everyone in the neighborhood to raise children and assist in raising children.

Open Days:

Every day except Sundays and holidays, including year-end and New Year’s holidays (December 29-January 3).

Open Hours:

Weekdays 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (Saturday until 5:00 p.m.).

Eligibility:

The clubs can be used freely by anyone from parents with babies to high school students, in addition to adults who are raising children or helping to raise children.

Types of Club:

There are various types of clubs including baby clubs, children’s clubs, and sports clubs.

What is a Children’s Club?

A club where children in grades 1-3 whose guardians are not home in the afternoon due to work or other circumstances can spend time after school and on days off in a fun, safe place. (Registration required.)

Hours:

Weekdays from after school until 6:00 p.m. (extended hours until 7:15 p.m.)
Saturdays 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Extended school breaks and other days when schools are closed 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.(extended hours until 7:15 p.m.)

Please practice walking a safe route from your home to your child’s school/children’s center together and have your child practice using the house key to open the door.
Also, teach your child what to do if she loses the key, and make arrangements with your neighbors.
