Request to shorten business hours based on the Act on Special Measures for Pandemic Influenza and New Infectious Diseases Preparedness and Response Article 24 Item 9
1. Request Period
8 p.m. May 12 (Wed.) 2021 to 5 a.m. June 1 (Tue.) 2021
2. Target Establishments
The following facilities which operate under the Food Sanitation Act
（Except for Food delivery and Take-out establishments）
①Dine-in restaurants
※Businesses which provide services specified under the Act on
Control and Improvement of Amusement Business, Etc. Article 2 Section 1.1
②Restaurants which serve alcohol（including karaoke establishments）
3. Subject Area
All of Sendai City
4. Request
Shorten business hours to between the hours of 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
※Serving of alcohol is to be between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
■During this period staff members of the City of Sendai will be patrolling targeted areas, addressing businesses abide to the closure request, and we ask for your compliance in regards to their requests.
■Please ensure business operations have appropriate infection prevention measures, and follow guidelines tailored to each business category.
5. Cooperation Money
The City of Sendai will pay Cooperation Money to businesses which cooperate in shortening their business hours.
Please check the City of Sendai website for how to apply for Cooperation Money and other details.
