| PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION | The International Youth Exchange Organization of Japan (IYEO) is an alumni association of those who have been dispatched overseas to participate in the programs of the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan such as the Ship for World Youth, and the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP). |
| INTRODUCTION | 1. Farewell parties and courtesy calls for those being sent off as part of the Cabinet Office's International Youth Exchange Program. 2. Reception of foreign youth who were invited through the Cabinet Office's International Youth Exchange Program. ・Cultural exchange parties with local youths. ・Homestays. 3. Independent international exchange programs. ・We run international exchange camps, study sessions, and culinary exchange events featuring the foods of many nations. 4. Informational activities. ・Print bulletins. ・Hold photography exhibitions. 5. Exchange among organization members. ・Friendly social meetings. ・Participate as representatives of the Hokkaido and Tohoku block in the IYEO all-national tournament. 6. Activities for restoration after the Great East Japan Earthquake. ・Activities supporting the livelihood of medical staff within the city of Ishinomaki. ・Tours of the Urato Archipelago and Katsura Island restoration efforts. ・Lectures and film screenings. |
| PR | We accepted projects including the 2015 FY 29th Japan/Korea Youth Friendship Exchange Program and the 43rd holding of the same project in 2016FY, the 2017FY 44th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program and the 2018FY 31st Ship for World Youth as a regional international exchange program of the cabinet Office, Government of Japan.
