| PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION | Miyagi-Philippines Youth Exchange Program Committee was established to engage in exchanges for cultivating youth with an international outlook through Miyagi Prefecture and the Republic of the Philippines. |
| INTRODUCTION | In 1989 the Sendai international Junior Chamber invited youth from the Philippines to Miyagi Prefecture to interact with high school students of similar age. We have since continuously held yearly youth international exchanges, facilitating mutual understanding of each countries' culture and traditions, while creating a private organization with the purpose of creating world peace. In the same year we sent 20 high school students to the Philippines and have since been conducting yearly invitations and dispatch projects. |
