| PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION | To conduct "publicity and awareness activities" to promote understanding of UNICEF activities amongst citizens of Miyagi prefecture, and "fundraising activities" in various settings. |
| INTRODUCTION | To inform students about UNICEF activities, we hold photo panel exhibitions, lectures, field reports, and movie screenings. We are sometimes asked by schools to incorporate "UNICEF study sessions" into their classes. We also hold a "UNICEF Summer Class" during the summer holidays, where elementary, junior high, and high school students experience volunteering as foreign coin-sorting volunteers. |
| PR | UNICEF is a United Nations agency that works to protect children's rights and expand opportunities for children to fully demonstrate their natural abilities. Japan also received assistance from 1949 to 1964, amounting to 6.5 billion yen in those days.
