| PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION | Miyagi-Philippines Youth Exchange Program Committee was established to engage in exchange projects to cultivate youth with an international outlook through cultural exchange with youths of Miyagi Prefecture and the Philippines. |
| INTRODUCTION | In 1989 the Sendai international Junior Chamber invited youth from the Philippines to Miyagi Prefecture to interact with high school students of the same age. We have since continuously held yearly youth international exchanges from 1990, facilitating mutual understanding of each countries culture and traditions, and created a private organization with the purpose of creating world peace. In the same year we sent 20 high school students to the Philippines and ever since have been conducting yearly invitations and dispatch projects. |
