■Ukrainian Cultural Experience “Making Motanka Dolls (lucky charm)” (Subsidized by SenTIA)(ウクライナ文化体験会)

The Sendai International Friendship Club will be hosting a workshop where one could try making Motanka dolls.

Through hosting cultural exchange events, the Sendai International Friendship Club hopes to promote mutual respect between people of different nationalities and ethnicities.
We will be making Motanka dolls in this workshop.

Motanka dolls are a type of lucky charm that originated from Ukraine.
Made of cloth and threads, the dolls represent the makers’ wishes, such as their family’s happiness and world peace.

Through participating in this workshop, you can learn about the living habits of Ukrainians.
Ms. Garya, a Ukrainian international student, will be the instructor.

Everyone is welcome to participate in our event. (Foreign residents and school-age children are also welcome)
We look forward to receiving your application.
