PURPOSE OF FOUNDATIONWith objectives which include international exchange between Sendai and the American city of Seattle, sharing information, and exchange among members which leads to international goodwill, our group strives to be active at the grassroots citizen level. In particular, so that the 3 Miyagi Prefecture ports in Shiogama, Ishinomaki, and Kessennuma can become friendship ports with the Port of Seattle, we will provide grassroots, citizen-level backup for international exchange from an economic aspect for such ports and airports.
INTRODUCTION1. Supporting the mission exchange between Miyagi prefecture and the Port of Seattle that is organized every two years.
2.Organizing international exchange events in cooperation with Seattle, and hosting talks and seminars about the city’s nature, culture, science, and economy.
3. Planning exchange activities of Sendai and the Seattle, as well as with other similar Seattle organizations.
4.To encourage academic exchange and promote homestay activities.
5.To promote the formation of sister city/sister port relationship.
PRWe hope to establish grass-root level international relationships with Seattle, the gateway to North America.
