| PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION | Our society’s purpose is to facilitate the sharing of information related to the international exchanges between Sendai and the Kingdom of Thailand and mutual international friendship between members with the intent of holding activities at the citizen level. Specifically, we backup the Bangkok charter flight which began on December 30 2000, to be designated as a regular flight destination on the citizen level. |
| INTRODUCTION | 1. We hold cultural exchange events and hold lectures and seminars concerning the nature, culture, science, and economics of the Kingdom of Thailand. 2. We plan exchange activities of Sendai and the Kingdom of Thailand, as well as with other similar Thai organizations. 3. We promote the participation of exchange students from Thailand as well as homestay opportunities. 4. We promote the friendship of sister cities and the strengthening of ties among other cities. 5. We support the sending of items such as Sendai Tanabata decorations, writing implements and stationary, pianicas, recorders, and soccer balls to the Kingdom of Thailand. 6. We support changing Thai International Airways flights through Sendai and Bangkok from charter flights to regular service flights. |
