| PURPOSE OF FOUNDATION | Exchanging information between people with Chinese roots who are living in Miyagi Prefecture, and promoting international exchange within the region. |
| INTRODUCTION | We are a group that was established during the process of confirming the safety of Chinese nationals after the Great East Japan Earthquake. In Chinese we have the Proverb “风雨同舟，同舟共济,” (lit. in the same boat under wind and rain, meaning that we should stick together during hard times) which is why we chose Tongzhouhui as the name of our group. We hold one seasonal event per month, such as flower viewing and Tsukimi. We also organize interactive events with locals during the Chinese New Year and Mid-autumn festival. Last but not the least, we also hold Chinese language classes, cooking classes and classes introducing Chinese culture. |
