PURPOSE OF FOUNDATIONTo deepen international understanding and promote international exchange activities through providing Japanese language guidance to foreigners living in Sendai and looking after participants’ children.
INTRODUCTION1. Giving Japanese language guidance and introducing culture to foreign residents of Sendai
2. Providing child care service for participants while they study
3. Studying and training seminar for volunteer lecturer and childcare volunteers
*During our 70 days of yearly activities, besides from Japanese classes, we also hold training orientations in order to improving our volunteers’ event planning, teaching, and childcare skills.
**Events for participants aimed at facilitating exchange
Setsubun, Hina Matsuri, Tanabata etc.
***Exchange events for volunteer groups, participants and local residents.
PRWe have 4-5 Japanese classes are split into different levels from beginner to intermediate/advanced. Lessons are free, however there is a cost for the textbooks and paper handouts. Anyone can join at any time.

The Yagiyama Shimin Center is located next to Yagiyama Zoological Park Station on the Tozai Subway line, so access is very convenient.
