【To businesses 】 Subsidy Program for Sustaining Businesses (Jizokuka Kyufukin) (National Government Subsidy)（持続化給付金）

The government will provide subsidies, which do not require repayment, to help sustain small to medium sized businesses, and sole proprietors, including freelance workers, who have been seriously impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Sole proprietors can receive the subsidy even if they are eligible for Special Cash Handouts (100,000 yen for every citizen).
【Subsidy】
Sole proprietors, including freelance workers- Maximum of up to 1,000,000 yen
Small to Medium-sized businesses/small scale enterprises- Maximum of up to 2,000,000 yen
※The amount paid is determined by a calculation of the decrease in sales.
※Please note that the upper limit (of payment) is the decreased amount of sales against that of the same time of the previous year.
【Eligible Businesses】
① Sales (income) in the target month was decreased by more than 50% against the same month of the previous year.
② The business had income (sales) from 2019 and intend to continue the business hereafter.
1. Sole proprietors who declared their main source of income as other or salary, and sales (income) in the target month was decreased by more than 50% against the same month of the previous year.
2. A business created between January and March 2020 whose sales of the target month decreased by 50% or more on the average annual income from the month of the businesses creation to March.
※There are additional conditions.
※Those who have already received the subsidy before, cannot apply a second time.
※Businesses are eligible even if applying for other subsidies or cooperation funds.
