2020 Sendai World Festa Cancelled in order to Prevent the Spread of Novel Coronavirus COVID-19（2020年「せんだい地球フェスタ」を中止します）
The 2020 Sendai World Festa, scheduled to take place on September 21, 2020, has been cancelled to prevent the further spread of Novel Coronavirus infections.
Every year a large number of citizens come to the Sendai World Festa, with approximately 7,500 people visiting the event. Currently, based on the social situation where apprehensions surrounding the novel coronavirus cannot be dispelled, it has been judged very difficult to guarantee the safety and security of citizens, participating organizations, and event staff. We have therefore come to the decision to abandon our plans to hold the World Festa.
It is with much regret that we inform this news to those who had been looking forward to this event, however we ask for your understanding on this matter.
