(Do you have a child entering elementary school in April, 2021?) Health examination for children starting school（就学時検診について）
The health examination for children starting school is for checking the health of children who will be entering elementary school in April of next year.
Households which have children eligible to enter school next year will receive a notice from their ward office.
Your child will have the chance to meet the children they will be learning with. They will also be able to see what kind of place their school is. If you have any concerns, please consult a teacher.
Eligibility:
Children born from April 2, 2014 to April 1, 2015.
Time period:
From October to November (varies by school.)
Location:
An elementary school in the school district where your house is.
What to bring:
Notice of the health examination for children starting school you received from the ward office (will be mailed to your house at the beginning of October), a pair of indoor shoes, and materials for taking notes (pen and paper.)
